About Noosa
Noosa...
(aboriginal - "ngnthuru" (noothera) - means shade or shadow)
Noosa
is one of the most sought-after regions in Australia not only for property,
but as a chosen holiday destination for tens of thousands of people every
year.
The northern area of Queensland's Sunshine Coast is amongst the fastest
growing in this nation and has been a boon for property developers for
the last decade.
Noosa, up until the 1980's, was another sleepy coastal town with a healthy
tourist industry. Now, it is rewarding investors and residents with a
return far exceeding the national average.
With
Noosa's sub-tropical climate, beautiful world-class beaches and laid back
lifestyle, many people from places like Sydney and Melbourne and overseas
are making the trek to our paradise.
As you browse our site and get a taste of the exciting range of properties
available, we would like to share with you on this page some of the wonderful
delights of one the world's most well known places. From Hastings Street
to the Hinterland this region has something to offer everyone.
The Beaches...
Noosa is famous for it's beaches and excellent surf. The coastline fringing
the Pacific Ocean is made up of three beaches.
Main Beach (pictured to the left), Sunshine Beach which extends to the
southern beach suburbs of Peregian and Coolum; North Shore forty
kilometres of unspoiled beach North of the Noosa River mouth.
The National Park...
Covering
almost 500 hectares, the National Park in Noosa is one of the best walking
parks in Australia and is traversed by locals daily and thousands of visitors
each year.
Take in the awesome natural beauty as you walk the Coastal Track via
Dolphin Point, Boiling Pot, Tea Tree Bay, and The Fairy Pools to Hell's
Gates and then work your way back along the Tanglewood Track.
The return trip is a couple of hours so why not reward yourselves with
a cool drink or an ice-cream on Hastings Street.
Tewantin
Tewantin represents the living history of Noosa - the original logging,
fishing and tourist town has retained much of the history of this area
while still moving with the times. Tewantin has retained a country town
atmosphere with a friendly community and excellent amenities.
Tewantin enjoys an idyllic balance of old and new - from the traditional
Royal Mail Hotel to some of Noosas finest waterfront restaurants
at
Noosa
Harbour. Being adjacent to the Noosa River, the high demand of Noosa
Heads and Noosaville has seen this area prosper as a more affordable option.
The suburbs Noosa Outlook, Noosa Parklands, Noosa Bushlands and Noosa
Banks have evolved in or near Tewantin, each with their own unique qualities
with an emphasis on brick and tile family homes. The noticeable absence
of holiday accommodation and high season hustle and bustle has seen the
area become increasingly popular for permanent residents.
Noosa Waters
Winner of the prestigious "Premier Award for Excellence" and
"Queensland's Best Waterfront Development" in both 1996 and
1997, Noosa Waters offers an exquisite residential lifestyle with a strong
community atmosphere. Consisting of 928 lots over 45ha with 471 residential
lots fronting a man-made canal system connected to the beautiful Noosa
River, Noosa Waters was developed since 1991. It has a most sophisticated
lock and weir system.
Featuring thirty-one well-manicured parks, a recreational oval and croquet
court Noosa Waters is centrally located within walking distance of thriving
Noosaville. Just five minutes from Hastings Street and two minutes to
the Noosa Village shopping centre this is the last waterfront development
in Noosa and is highly sought after.
Noosaville
Often described as the heartbeat of the region, Noosaville's northern
esplanade borders the scenic Noosa River which is known by the locals
as the "Golden Mile". Noosa Council recently completed a $5.8m
beautification programme which has improved the riverside parks and incorporates
a popular walk with shady trees - perfect for picnics and barbecues.
The peaceful unpolluted river offers sedate swimming beaches, boating,
"putt-putts", surf skiing, sailing, and fishing. Along Gympie
Terrace and Thomas Street there are more than thirty restaurants and cafes
to choose from with a variety of cuisines. Boutique shopping and an array
of holiday complexes, a relaxed lifestyle and views of the river from
the Gympie Terrace restaurants make this area one of the most promising
markets.
The Hinterland
Just a short drive inland from Noosa you will find some picturesque towns
and villages surrounded by stunning rural scenery from lush agricultural
land to rugged mountains. The Saturday Eumundi markets are world-renowned
with stalls providing locally made arts and crafts, fresh produce and
much more!
Fine Food....Fine Wine!
The
Noosa region has an abundance of award-winning restaurants and world-
class chefs are ready to prepare a new eating experience for you.
Whether you want to sit down for a formal meal on Hastings Street or
something a bit more casual on Gympie Terrace opposite the majestic Noosa
River - the choice is all yours.
The Sports...
Noosa is not just eating and sunbaking. The outdoor activities on offer
will satisfy any adventurer or sports-person. Several golf and tennis
clubs service the region and visitors are always made most welcome.
Or you may want to expend some energy with one of the many water sport
activities. Why not try windsurfing, parasailing, yachting, boating, fishing,
surfing, sailing, jet-skiing, water-skiing, or rowing.
