So you want to buy a property? An important decision like this needs

is available. It doesn’t take long to become a property expert in
your price range.
3. Find an agent. Let the agents know you are keen to find a property
and ask them to advise you of new properties that become available. It
is important to build a relationship with the agent who is helping you.

4. Home sweet home! You’ve found a property and now you want
to secure it before anyone else does. You’ll be asked to provide
your details and a contract will be prepared for you to sign. Have it
checked by your solicitor if you’re not sure of something. It is
advisable to have a building and pest inspection on the property and to
make the contract subject to finance if your loan provider requires it.
5. How much is enough? You know the asking price the owner is seeking
so should you make an offer? This will depend on the market conditions
and how well priced the property is. Don’t make the mistake of offering
too little and offending the sellers. Offer what you think is fair and,
if the property is what you really want, be prepared to pay fair market
value.
Buying a home or investment property is an exciting time and should be
a lot of fun. Take your time. Don’t get stressed out. The perfect
home may only exist in your mind. There will always be some compromise
in your choice but with some extra imagination and a few weekends’
works your dream home can become a reality.
